new soundtrack available

I’ve just finished my first soundtrack for a short film! The film is still in post-production but will hopefully be finished and available to watch on my site, within the next 2 weeks! In the mean time, you can listen to the whole soundtrack in the MUSIC section -just scroll to the tracks in the music player!

About the tracks -

There are 3 tracks in total, “Petal”, “Young & Foolish” and “Day Break”.

“Petal” is a solo piano piece, “Young & Foolish” is a guitar and piano piece and “Day Break”, features guitar, piano, violins, cellos, double bass and percussion.

About the film -

The shortfilm “Solitude” (working title) is written & directed by Kourosh (Cyrus) Mirza’shafa and is a delicate story about loosing some one you love. The story unfolds from the POV of Monty a 20 something who’s smile no longer succumbs easily to the pleasure of life. As Monty recalls his past, his emotions stir waking his memories of his love. Solitude is a love story about being young and foolish and the plans that we make in the midst of our naivety.

As Monty’s memories flood to the foreground of his mind, a car journey between two people and their love for each other unfolds. Concentrating on the personal moments that only lovers can share, Solitude is a story that interlinks a playful past and a lonely present. Like any car journey we must eventually stop and so must the Lover’s story. What is left of Monty is a shell, but why does he endure his daily hurt, when his memories forever remind him of his longing to follow his love wherever she goes.

theExperiment and things

Someone once told me to never begin something with an apology. Well…. screw it. I think an apology is in order. When i first launched this site, i sent out an email to everyone on the mailing list.. but it turns out there was a little monster / bug in it and so many people on that list got around 30 of the same email. Big whoops! Soo.. apologies everyone, won’t happen again!

So anyway.. i’ve recently entered a new competition called The Experiment which “will consist of a nationwide search to reward pioneers and freestylers in three specified areas: music, graphic design and film. Winners from each category will receive vital experience within their chosen area, along with showcasing their work during thexperiment party at Camden’s renowned Koko Club with The Young Knives and many more.”

All you have to do is vote for me! The more public votes i get the more chance i have of getting closer to the top. So please go here and click on the vote button!!

Ok.. so in other news.. i’ve recently finished working on my first soundtrack to a short film by a friend of mine. Should be all completed in a months time so i shall put it the film on here when its done. I will be putting the soundtrack up very soon so stay tuned for that! I am also still working hard on some new tunes and am hoping to have a couple finished soon. Keep those eyes pealed and all that jazz!

Hello! Welcome to the brand new website. I’ve been focusing a lot of my time on this site and its functionality - there’s quite a few cool new features so have a look round and see whats about. The site is now structured in a way that allows me to update everything quickly and easily so expect to see a lot more updates than ever before! The shop section has been kitted out with a new shopping cart which allows me to sell digital products - such as my ‘Where to go from here’ album in MP3 format! It’s all fully secure & automated and handled with Paypal so no registration is required, nice and easy!

I’m also working on a number of music projects at the moment.. including solo music, soundtracks for independent films and a band project with friends. I’m hoping to get some new solo music online soon for you to hear so keep checking back for updates! Or alternatively sign up to the mailing list to be notified of when I update the site!
